What happens when
The hard part first.
Doing the AI on your own device, and in an enclave we cannot read, is genuinely difficult. It is also the only reason any of the rest is trustworthy, so it is what we are building now, before anything else. We would rather ship a real look-back late than a shallow one early.

Architecture & first sourcesnow
The on-device data pipeline and encryption model, and the first sources importing locally: messages, calendar, Spotify, a one-tap daily mood, plus photo metadata read on the device. In parallel, our LAISF application to hessian.AI has been submitted, and the decision is still to come.
- 300 AI-guided interviews with potential users
- On-device pipeline and client-side encryption
- First data sources importing end to end
- The explorable timeline, in its first usable form
- Early relevance retrieval across your own history
- The first turning points found in a real timeline

Private alphanext
A small group of testers gets the timeline end to end. Three things decide whether it worked: whether people actually finish connecting their own sources, whether the app names a past turning point they confirm is real and useful, and whether they come back after a week. Download counts are not one of them.
- A first source connected during onboarding
- A past turning point confirmed real and useful by 6 in 10 testers
- Day-7 retention above the category median

Closed beta
Subscriptions go live, and we finally get to measure whether people come back. The reflection assistant arrives with in-enclave inference, a first-use notice that you are talking to software, and the output filter that keeps it descriptive: what changed, what came before it, and what was around it. Never what caused it.
- Paywall and subscription live
- AI assistant, running in the enclave
- Transparency notice and output filter

Public launch, German-speaking market first
App Store and Google Play, bilingual German and English. We start in the German-speaking market on purpose: it is where the privacy conversation is sharpest, and where the legal right that makes our onboarding possible exists cleanly.
- Bilingual launch, DACH first, UK to follow
- Community and organic growth as the engine, not ads
- More sources, deeper look-backs

We will need testers who are hard to please.
If you keep a journal, track your own data, or simply do not trust apps with your life, you are exactly who we want breaking the early builds.
